Dustbins compulsory from May 1 |

Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): Having noticed that some people were throwing garbage on the public roadside, thus causing inconvenience to the public of the locality, the Dimapur Municipal Council has issued a notice directing the public to keep dustbins compulsorily, beginning May 1. Stating that “it is objectionable from sanitation point of view”, the DMC Sanitary Branch convenor, Kuhoi Zhimo, in a press release has asked all in concern to keep dustbins compulsorily “with effect from May 1” and dispose the garbage “in the proper place” or when the DMC trucks/tractors arrive. Failure to comply with the directive, the convenor warned, would compel the authority to take appropriate action as per rule and impose a fine of Rs.500 on the offender.
