| 1st Nagaland Music Video Awards to be held |

Dimapur, April 26: Native Trax Network, Event managers a group of musicians and people dedicated to create a climate of innovation and professionalism within the music community of Nagaland and to recognize excellence in music video production is organizing the ‘1st Music Video Awards of Nagaland 2009’.
Mengulhoulie Mepfuo, Director Native Trax Network said that the idea behind hosting of such an event is to provide a platform for our local singers and musicians to showcase their talents and reach out to a broader audience as we firmly believe that given the necessary opportunities and infrastructure our artistes can be at par with the best anywhere.This awards program seeks to find the best music videos from the previous calendar year for original music productions recorded within the state of Nagaland. However, as a special case, this year there will be no bar on the production date. All songs submitted must be original compositions. This year the entries would be judged across five genres: pop, rock, rap/hip hop, gospel and songs in any local dialect including Nagamese. Entries would be shortlist by the judging committee and videos of these selected bands will be aired on local cable TV and would also be available on music video awards of Nagaland 2009 website at http://mvan.coolpage.biz from where they can be viewed or downloaded. There would be more elimination round before the final awards presentation ceremony. The grand prize of ‘Song of the Year’ would go to the nominee who secures the highest points. There will also be prizes for winners in different categories. Entry fee would be charged at Rs. 500 per artiste/band.
