This month, Mr Chamling took oath as the Chief Minister of Sikkim for the 4th time. His Sikkim Democractic Party (SDF) won all the 32 assembly seats besides the lone Parliamentary seat.







Why is Mr Chamling such a successful CM?

Rs 23,786 which is above the national average

State Revenue
The state today is Rs 600 crore. When the SDF took over in 1994, the state revenue was Rs 44 crore

Investment
In 15 years, the govt has invested Rs 30,000 crore in core sectorslike tourism, agriculture, horticulture and floriculture.

1:18 against 1:34 of All India

The Prime Minister's Rozgar Yogna
Rural artisans and small scale entrepreneurs are trained by the Govt in 4 districts

By july 11, 11 5 star hotels are to be inaugurated.

Young Team
Mr Chamling has made it a point to have fresh and young faces in his 12 cabinet ministerial team. 8 out of the 12 ministers are first timers.
