John Yengkhom, Morung Express Dimapur | December 19 : After much anticipation, Nagaland can now subscribe to an International telecom service provider as Vodafone makes entry to the mobile market from December 20. The customer care office situated in the heart of the city will be opened where connection-forms will be made available for subscription to Vodafone Vodafone will presently be available only in Dimapur but has plans to extend to the capital very soon. The telecom giant is expecting a good number of subscriptions from Dimapur right from its opening. To attract customers Vodafone is offering a number of exciting packages that include a “free wristwatch” for every new Vodafone prepaid card worth Rs 249 and additional goodies worth Rs 249 and valid till February 22, next year. ‘Magic Box’ is the other offer with a starting price of Rs 1199. Moreover Vodafone also offers handsets from the three models currently available with a two year replacement warranty that comes along with a free bonus card. Vodafone Dimapur will have two dealers for prepaid connections; one located at Khermahal and the other at Purana Bazar. Post paid connections will be available at the Khermahal office. Vodafone also informed that postpaid facility will be launched after a week. It further plans to launch services in Kohima and Imphal by this year end. According to sources, Tata Indicom would also be entering the market in Dimapur very soon. |
