Poultry products banned in Dimapur |

Dimapur, Dec 21: In the wake of high alert sounded by the State Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry following the bird flu outbreak in Assam, deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Maongwati Aier has banned the sale of poultry and its products in the market in Dimapur with immediate effect.
DC in a notification directed all poultry farmers within Dimapur district to register in the office of the District Veterinary Office, Dimapur. The State Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry has earlier directed all the district veterinary officers and Rapid Response Team members to maintain strict surveillance and to be in their respective station even during Christmas and New Year holidays.
