Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): Former Miss World, established model, Actor and brand ambassador of Avalon Aviation Academy, Diana Hayden created near-pandemonium in Dimapur town by her mere presence. With past experiences where celebrities are rumored to make their presence in town, but have failed to do so, it seemed like a dream that Miss Hayden was actually in Dimapur! The beauty queen sparked off so much interest that a local daily even featured her in the papers daily caricature segment.



Miss Hayden was here, in Dimapur for the inauguration of the Avalon Aviation Academy, Dimapur centre on January 16. The inaugural of the training centre started at 10:30 am at The Avalon Aviation Academy, Dimapur Centre, 3rd floor, Zhimomi Automobiles Building, Circular Road and was initiated by Kavini Zhimomi, Director of the Academy. Khekiho Zhimomi, Rajya Sabha MP, and his wife Khezheli Zhimomi were present as chief patrons.

Speaking to the gathering at the Inaugural programme, Miss Hayden stated that she has been with Avalon Academy for the past 4 (Four) years, ever since Avalon started. “When Avalon asked me to associate with them, I said yes, because it’s also connected to Aptech which is the best that education can give, she revealed. Something that she also said she believes is that Avalon always gives the best services be it any centre, in any part of the country, which she respects a lot. “Every centre that they have is of a particular standard and the quality of teaching is the same”, she said. She also explained why Avalon, as opposed to other training academies. She revealed that she is very particular with what brand she associates herself with. She felt that Avalon has always maintained a standard with which she is satisfied and the faculty is well trained, and the syllabus is the same throughout all the centres.

Talking about Nagaland and the people, Miss Hayden also said that it is fantastic that there is a centre in Nagaland now. She complimented to the Nagas present at the inaugural programme, “Your race is polite, very hospitable and so cultured, which is just right for the hospitality sector.” Miss Hayden, known for her intelligence besides her obvious beauty also shared that in today’s world there is no opportunity to ‘Learn on the job’ which makes it even more important for the existence of training centres to prepare oneself. “If you are not ready, there is always someone behind who will come and get it, which is why preparation is of the essence today” she said. “If you are not ready there are people behind you who are more ready”, she mooted. When preparation meets opportunity then that is luck she said. She concluded by saying “Work hard, be focused, and be prepared”. She also stated that many people have asked her why people should invest in the aviation industry when there is a big slump in the economy. She says that there is going to be a big boom in the aviation industry and it’s like a whole domino effect and that there will be vacancies. Keshylie Zhimomi, chief patron in her speech also said that the business is not only profit motivated but to provide opportunity to career seekers and also to achieve their chosen professions. The inaugural programme was followed by an interaction with the press and media and further followed by a seminar for students and interested persons.
