DMC to impose 50% fine for delay |

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has notified all the trade and business establishments under DMC jurisdiction that the expiry date for renewal of DMC trade licence for the year 2010 was upto December 31, 2009. However, to facilitate the traders the DMC authority had allowed grace period till January 31, 2010 for renewal without fine and the said grace period shall expire on January 31, 2010.
In connection to this issue, DMC chairperson K. Khekaho Assumi in a notification has stated that “not even 50% of the DMC Trade License Holders have renewed their trade license till date.” Therefore, the Chairperson has informed that on expiry of the stipulated period, 50% fine shall be imposed on Trade License fees for renewal.” Further, checking of Trade License shall be conducted by DMC Officials from February 1, 2010.
