DIMAPUR, FEB 4 (NPN): Dimapur district autorickshaw drivers’ union (DUDA) has urged the district administration not to impose penalty till Dimapur autorickshaw owners’ union complied with DC’s order to install meter box in autorickshaws. According to DUDA president Akaho Kiba, the burden of installing meter box was upon the Dimapur autorickshaw owners’ union and not with DUDA. The administration has also been urged to keep its order in abeyance, a statement issued by DUDA president said. In may be mentioned that DC and RTA chairman, in earlier order, had informed autorickshaws plying in Dimapur jurisdiction to install meter box with effect from February 1, 2010 as discussed December 8, 2009.
