18,392 students begin HSLC ‘10 |

DIMAPUR, FEB 15 (EMN): Altogether 18,392 students, including regular, institutional private and repeaters, across the State are appearing the 2010 High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exams
which commenced Monday, February 15.
Out of this total, 9,218 are girl students while male students trail at 9,174. 62 examination centres have been set up across the State with registering the highest number of students in 14 centres closely tailed by Kohima with 10 centres.
Interacting with Eastern Mirror at the end of the first paper (English) on Monday, students from Pinemount High School, Purana Bazaar, and Holy Cross School, Dimapur, happily termed it as quite easy.
Speaking over phone, NBSE Controller of Examinations Neilezolie Liezietsu informed that no reports of negative incidents have been received from any of the examination centres from any of the centres.
It may be mentioned here that there has been a leap of 3,838 students this year in contrast to year 2009 which saw 14,554 students sit for the HSLC exam. The HSLC exam will conclude on February 26.
