TA Recruitment Rally from July 14 to 16 |

Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): Territorial Army (TA) Recruitment Rally will be held at the Zakhama Military Station, from July 14 to 16, 2010 conducted by the 164 Infantry Battalion (TA) (Home & Hearth) NAGA, for recruitment to the Unit for the Posts of Soldier General Duties (GD) and Soldier (Clerk).
R K Palta, Colonel, PRO (Defence) through a press note informed that the Rally will commence at 7.00 am sharp daily (Candidates are advised to be present at the venue of the Rally within Zakhama Military Station accordingly). The daily schedule of the Rally is as follows : On July 14, 2010 : screening / checking of documents, followed by the running test, followed by the physical fitness tests, for candidates who pass the running test. On July 15, 2010: The medical examination of candidates, who pass the physical fitness tests. On July 16, 2010: The written test for those Candidates who pass the medical examination.
The note also informed that the Recruitment Rally is a wonderful opportunity for the youth of Nagaland, to get selected for a glorious career in the Territorial Army (Home & Hearth) NAGA. Only married or un-married Naga males between the ages of 18 to 42, who are in possession of valid Domicile Certificate of Nagaland, are eligible for the recruitment.
The eligibility conditions for the posts are as follows: For the post of Soldier General Duties (GD), candidates should be born not before July16, 1968 and born not after July 16, 1992 (Both Days Inclusive). Candidates should be minimum 8th Class Passed. For the post of Soldier (Clerk), Candidates should be Born Not before 16 July, 1968 and born not after July 16, 1992 (Both Days Inclusive). Candidates should have passed minimum 10+2 class or intermediate exam in any of the following streams : (Arts / Commerce / Science) with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate and minimum of 40% marks in each core subject (The candidates should also have studied English and Mathematics / Accounts / Book-keeping as Compulsory subjects in the 10th Standard). In the case of candidates who are graduates or above, being Passed in 10+2 is adequate. Candidates who have proficiency in Computers and Typing will be given additional weightage of 20% as Bonus on the marks scored by the candidates in the written test. The candidates should bring along with them the following certificates in original : Education Certificates; Character Certificate (should have been issued within six months of the date of the Recruitment Rally); Schedule Tribes Certificate ; Permanent Residential / Indigenous Certificate (Domicile Certificate); 12 copies of Passport size colour photographs (without any Headgear or Goggles / Sunglasses); Sponsor Certificate (Candidates can obtain the Format of the `Sponsor Certificate' from the Rajya Sainik Board / Zila Sainik Board office).
The result of the Recruitment Rally will be communicated to the successful candidates, through Call Letters issued by 164 Infantry Battalion (TA) (Home & Hearth) NAGA in due course, after it is finalized.
