NSCN (I-M) man injured in firing PDF Print E-mail

Dimapur, Dec 27: Several shots rang the air in and around Notun Bosti, spreading panic among shopkeepers. According to reports, at around 2.30 p.m. Saturday, four to five unidentified gunmen went to a nearby workshop (near Zhimomi automobiles) Circular Road where one person was repairing his vehicle. The gunmen caught hold of the person, later identified as one NSCN(I-M)activist in the rank of deputy kilonser. When the NSCN(I-M) activist grappled and fled, the gunmen chased and fired several rounds with two bullets hitting him.

According to police, the activist was identified as one Chipenthung Ezung (45), NSCN (I-M) “Deputy Kilonser” MIP, son of late Sanchithung of Longsa village, Wokha. The injured activist was rushed to nearby Metro Hospital and later shifted to another hospital. Police recovered one empty case of 7.65 caliber from the spot.

It's sad to see men, mostly youths engage in such acts. The most sad aspect is
that human life which God has gifted us seems to have no value. Lets work
together to end this trend.
